Welcome to the Alpha Xi Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma at Purdue University. Members of Phi Kappa Sigma focus on a life long membership that few college men enjoy. Brothers work hard to create the lasting friendships that make being a brother a truly rewarding experience both before and after graduation. Over 60,000 men have shared in this brotherhood at more than 70 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. Phi Kappa Sigma currently has numerous alumni active in our community as well as in our Purdue chapter.

Our historic house was originally built to be the Mayor’s Mansion for the town of Chauncey, before it was called West Lafayette. Our chapter purchased this house in 1911 and we have been here ever since. As we have been here for this long, the modifications to the house are truly designed to be beneficial to fraternity life; from the first addition put on in the mid 1960’s, to the removal of the Annex in the mid 1990’s, the current layout and structure of the house is designed for the brothers, by the brothers.

Our members come from all corners of the United States, from New York to Chicago; from California to Washington, Texas, and North Carolina. This combination of backgrounds provides us with a diverse atmosphere in the house. Over the years, this has become one of the chapter's most prized characteristics. Together as a fraternity, we are proud of the fact that there is no “typical brother”. Simply put, the diversity of our brotherhood is what makes it strong, unique, and incomparable.
